A proper finish is essential to prolonging the lifespan of your products. A well maintained finish can prevent warping, checking, pitch bleed, glass failure, and other forms of window and door malfunction as well as protect your warranty.
Appearance
If you would like a professional finish, Cherry Creek can paint or stain your products in a manner that will guarantee that your millwork remains under warranty. Standard painting by Cherry Creek includes all tape and sand preparation, an alkyd oil base primer, and two coats of latex finish paint. Clear coating and staining is available for interiors of product per customer request.
DIY
If you decide to finish the product yourself, Cherry Creek can provide you with guidelines on how to properly finish your windows. It is important that you understand these guidelines before ordering, and follow them once your millwork is delivered in order to maintain your warranty and ensure a long life for your windows. Don't forget that finishing is often more work than it seems. A proper finish requires a dry, clean, well ventilated space, and includes disassembling windows, taping, sanding, painting and reassembly.
